From time to time a participant does not meet the requirements for certification for various reasons. When a participant is unsuccessful the instructor will fill out an incident/problem report form.
The instructor will include in their report:
- Name of the participant
- A brief summary of why they were unsuccessful
- Any remedial action the instructor took to try and support success
- If the instructor feels they met requirements for any certification (i.e. did not meet the standards for SFA w/C but could receive a EFA with A)
The instructor will advise the participant
- That they were unsuccessful
- The reasons for being unsuccessful
- Advise the participants to contact the office during business hours by email to customerservice@superiorems.ca
Superior EMS will:
- Review the instructors report
- Determine if any remedial actions can be offered to the participant
- Allow the participants to challenge the fail grade by another instructor independent of the class involved
- Issue the appropraite certificate or maintain the fail grade
